Teresa Whiteman is no stranger to the finance and insurance industry, with positions at organizations such as Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Insurance Company and Medica Health Insurance Company under her belt. Now, Whiteman has ”the best job ever” — advising ���ϲ����� students as they explore careers in investment banking, entrepreneurship, insurance, consulting, corporate functions, and related fields as ���ϲ�����’s Director of Business and Finance Career Community.

Olivia Wang ’25 loves to surf. With support from Fischlowitz Travel Fellowship, she traveled to California, Wisconsin, and Florida to explore the sport.

This semester, the College’s student newspaper and radio station have collaborated to launch a new project called Scarlet Sessions. Scarlet Sessions will serve as an opportunity for student musicians to have their music professionally recorded and released on The Scarlet and Black’s social media. 

After sweeping the Iowa College Media Association (ICMA) awards, the S&B co-editors in chief Eleanor Corbin ’24 and Nick El Hajj ’24 reflected on the newspaper’s accomplishments and the unseen work that drives its success.

Beyond the events, the food, and the fun sponsored by the International Student Organization, ISO’s most important role is to create a home for international students at ���ϲ�����.
